Parks and Recreation: Boat Ramps and Slip Rentals
Private Boat Ramps
- Doctors Lake Marina (two ramps) -
U.S. 17 at the Doctors Lake Bridge.
- Whiteys Fish Camp & Boat Ramp
located on Swimming Pen Creek off CR 220 and offers access to Doctors
Lake.
- Whitney's Sail Center located on
Doctors Lake off US 17 at the Doctors Lake Bridge, south of Orange Park.
Public Boat Ramps

Governor’s
Creek Boat Ramp
(2 lanes)-
located east of
US Highway 17 in Green Cove Springs on the north bank of Governor’s Creek. The
fishing pier and covered picnic area are in constant use by the public.

Knight’s Boat
Ramp and Marina Facility is located on Black Creek at
Highway 17 north of Green Cove Springs. The facility consists of
3 boat ramp lanes, a new restroom, paved parking, a 250' fishing
pier and a 40-slip boat docking facility that is available for
leasing to the public. There is a pavilion with a picnic area
that provides a scenic view of Black Creek and the St. Johns
River. The sale of fuel, both regular and
diesel, is also available.
- Lake Brooklyn Boat Ramp
is located in Keystone Heights on Kings Street off SR 100. The
ramp and surrounding area is located beneath a picturesque live
oak canopy. Specific parking areas are not delineated and the
only paved surface is the ramp itself. This ramp is closed
due to water levels being so low.
- Lake Geneva Boat Ramp
is located in Keystone Heights off SR 100 at CR 214. The parking
area and ramp are paved and in excellent condition.
This ramp is closed due to water levels being so low.
- Lake Shore Boat Ramp (2
lanes) is located at the northerly end of Lake Shore Drive and
serves Doctors Lake. The boat ramp and parking area are paved
and in good condition. There is a pier adjacent to the boat ramp
for loading and unloading as well as fishing. Construction of
new restroom was recently completed.
- Lowry Lake Boat Ramp is
located at the Camp Blanding military reservation. This site is
generally open to the public except at such times as military
maneuvers are taking place, then for safety and security
reasons, access to Camp Blanding would be prohibited. Times and
dates of planned maneuvers may be ascertained by calling (904)
291-9912. Beginning August 1, 2006 this facility will be
opened to the public on Sunday's and Monday's from 7:00 AM until
1:30 PM ONLY. The ramp is located of of Treat Road in
Keystone Heights. (From HWY 100 in Keystone heights go North
1.9 miles on HWY 21 to paved road entrance to Camp Blanding WMA
on left. Turn left (Northwest) on Treat Road for 3.1 miles
to dirt road on right. Go .4 miles to ramp.)
- Magnolia Lake Boat
Ramp
is located
at the Camp Blanding military reservation. This site is generally open to the
public except at such times as military maneuvers are taking place, then for
safety and security reasons, access to Camp Blanding would be prohibited. Times
and dates of planned maneuvers may be ascertained by calling (904) 291-9912. Beginning August 1, 2006 this facility will be opened to the public on

paved road entrance to Camp Blanding WMA on left. Turn
left (Northwest) on Treat Road and go 1.5 miles to dirt road on
right. Go .1 miles to ramp.)
- Middleburg (Main
Street) Boat Ramp is located off SR 21
(Blanding Blvd.) at the end of Main Street in the Middleburg area. Approximately
30 paved parking spaces have been provided along with a restroom, picnic areas,
two fishing piers, and boardwalks through the wetlands and a modular play
structure. Additional parking is provided south of the boat ramp.
- Old Ferry Boat
Ramp serves Black Creek and the concrete ramp
is in good condition, and the parking area is paved and
marked. The boat ramp is located at the end of Old Ferry Road off CR 209 in the Doctors Inlet/ Ridgewood area.
Parking is limited.
- Shands Boat Ramp
is located southeast of Green Cove Springs off State Road 16. Parking is
scattered randomly throughout all available grassed areas. The water is very
shallow and only the smallest boats encounter no problems.
- Williams Park Boat
Ramp
is located
east of CR 209. The boat ramp is approximately one-half mile from Williams
Park. The site is isolated and difficult to access after heavy rains and parking
is randomly spaced with no delineated areas.

Boat slip rental is available at the Knight Marina Facility located on the St. Johns River at Black Creek in Clay County.
